Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.Job Description:The Diesel Mechanic Senior will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. The Diesel Mechanic Senior mentors and oversees team member"s technical deliverables to ensure Client and customer standards are met.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections.* Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components.* Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.* Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and is available as a subject matter expert to assist the team and customers.* Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders.* Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.* Lead daily shop organization and clean-up.Education and Experience (required):* High school diploma or equivalent.* Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a Diesel Mechanic.Education and Experience (preferred):* Certificate in Diesel Technology or related.* State Diesel Mechanic Certification(s).* Valid driver"s license.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):* Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.* Good attention to detail and organizational skills.* Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others.* Has own tools with rolling toolbox.* Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred):* Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers.* Ability to work overtime as needed including weekendsBelcan is an equal opportunity employer.
