Janitorial Custodian

Services rendered daily include tutoring, mentoring and college placement, foster care, housing opportunities, youth and family counseling, employment training and placement, and Head Start programs.


Summary: Under the direct supervision of the project manager, the position performs daily, weekly and periodical cleaning of commercial, industrial, or office building. (Seeking applicant who can provide documentation that details a disability, such as a Psychological or Psychiatric or Physical assessment or evaluation on the clinic or physician's letterhead with the doctor's signature.)

Supervises (Position Title): None


Principal Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Cleans sweeps and mops floors as required by cleaning schedule.

  • Washes mirrors, stalls, walls, sinks and baseboards as described in cleaning contract.

  • Vacuums, shampoos and scrubs carpets.

  • Conducts periodic buffing, stripping and waxing of floors.

  • Cleans water fountains, telephone booths, astray, and janitorial closets. 



Requirements

Requirements:



  • Requires a high school diploma or general education equivalent.

  • Requires 6 months experience in janitorial/custodial field (or completion of a janitorial/custodial- training program)

  • Documentation is required that details the disability. Such as a Psychological or Psychiatric or Physical assessment or evaluation on the clinic or physician's letterhead with the doctor's signature.
